Everything is energy.
If we zoom in enough—beyond molecules, beyond atoms—what we find isn’t solid matter. It’s empty space filled with vibrating information, like an intricate dance of potential and possibility.
It doesn’t seem that way in our day-to-day lives because our brains have learned to translate all that energy into forms we can navigate: sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.
To make this manageable, our brains construct a map of reality—one that feels steady and reliable, allowing us to make sense of the world.
This is an incredible accomplishment of the human nervous system.
But the map isn’t the whole territory. What we perceive as the “real world” through our sensory systems is just a tiny sliver of the energy field we’re embedded in. And what we consciously process in any given moment is an even tinier sliver.
Here’s where it gets profound: We aren’t just perceivers of energy—we are energy.
Our bodies, too, are vibrating fields of information. Every cell is alive with electrical signals, chemical exchanges, and electromagnetic fields. Our thoughts, emotions, and intentions create ripples in this energy field, like notes in a symphony.
If you could perceive yourself on an energetic level, you would see constant movement and flux: currents of energy flowing, shifting, and communicating—within you and between you and everything around you.
When you engage with your body’s energy through self-Reiki or meditation, you’re not just calming yourself—you’re tapping into a profound intelligence that is always moving toward balance and healing.
